Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne Moore is an Hollywood writer and actor whose talent has earned her recognition and critical acclaim. Sagittarius is her birth name, and she was born in North Carolina on 3 December 1960. She's the eldest child of Peter Moore Smith a paratrooper as well as Anne who is a psychology student. She's English and Scottish. Moore's father moved around frequently due to his work. It was difficult for her to make or keep friends. Moore was a student at Frankfurt American High School in Germany when her parents moved to the United States. She began performing on stage. Her education continued at Boston University where she graduated in 1983 with a B.F.A. in Theater. After graduation, Moore began her off-Broadway career in New York. In 1985 she made her television debut on The Edge of Night. The break came in 1986 when she portrayed the role as Sabrina Hughes as well as Frannie Hughes in As the World Changes. In 1988, she was an actor in the series and was awarded the Daytime Emmy Award. Her debut cinematic appearance was in Tales from the Darkside: The Movie. The movie was later criticized as a poor low-budget production. She was in Short Cuts (1993) and 3 Women (1997) both films by Robert Altman. The films were critically acclaimed and Moore won multiple nominations. Moore's first leading role was on screen in Safe (1995). Steven Spielberg gave Moore her debut lead role in the film Safe (1995). It was 1997 when the career of this actress reached a pivotal stage. She was tapped to star as Jurassic Park: The Lost World. This movie became one of 1997's top-rated films. The year 1999 was the first time she received an SAG award for her role in Magnolia. The Hours starred Moore in 2002, and was nominated for Nine Academy Awards along with Nicole Kidman. Other films she has acted in include The Forgotten 2004 Freedomland 2006. Shelter (2010), among others. In 2014, she was in Non-Stop. Moore is an established star in countless movies and television series. The most recent role she has played is in When You Finish Saving the World (2022). She's established herself in Hollywood and is a successful children's book author. Her first book Freckleface Strawberry was published in 2007 and became a bestseller on the NY Times. The book became a best selling book, then adapted to a television series along with a musical. In 2013, she released her book My Mom Is an American. Moore is known as a well-known actress and novelist. She divorced John Robin in 1995. She has two kids along with Bart Freundlich whom she later got married in 2003. Moore's career, family and friends are the most important things in her life.
